Clinical Therapeutic Facial Peels

Chemical Peels

A variety of chemical peels from light to mid-depth.  They include lactic, salicylic, glycolic, amino acids and retinoic acid.

Obagi Blue Peel

Using a low concentration of the chemical Tricholoracetic acid mixed with a special blue base significantly imporves appearance and health of your skin.  Two – four coats of solution may be applied in one treatment.  Areas that may be treated with the peel are face, neck, chest, hands, back, arms and legs if termed appropriate by Dr. Atwood.  Recovery time may be a full 7-10 days due to extreme peeling and flaking.  This peel may be used to treat suspicious pre-cancerous areas.

Microdermabrasion

A medical microdermabrasion peel using very fine crystals and mild suction exactly where needed on your skin to remove the dead outer layer of the skin while bringing smoother, softer skin to the surface.  Also evens out skin tones and softens fine lines and wrinkles.  There is no recovery time with this peel.  Sometimes called “lunchtime peels”.  Also offered:  Crystaless microderm.

Ultrasonic Skin Rejuvenation

Patented technology blends specific sound waves and high frequency energy to tissues to stimulate the body’s own natural building blocks of the skin.  Provides deep hydration collagen stimulation, and strengthens elastin fibers.  May be used for all skin types.  Also ideal for infusion of topical products for maximum benefit.
